Construit vers 1925 au centre du village de Bonaventure par la famille Babin, cet édifice a abrité un magasin général (Babin et frères) pendant près de 50 ans.

Par la suite, il fut successivement, une bijouterie, une friperie, une salle de billard et un salon d’esthétique.

À l’automne 2004, il fut déménagé de son site initial vers son site actuel sur les terrains du Musée Acadien de Bonaventure.

Afin de lui redonner son apparence d’antan, des rénovations majeures ont été effectuées. Il abrite actuellement la boutique et l’atelier de Verre et Bulles.

Built around 1925 by the Babin family in the village of Bonaventure, this building has been a general store for about fifty years (Babin et Frères).

Then, became a jewelry, a second hand store, a pool room and a beauty salon before beeing moved from it’s original site to it’s actual location on the ground of the acadian museum of Bonaventure in the Fall of 2004.

It has been renovated to bring it back to its original look and is now the Verre et Bulles store and workshop.
